Friends and Guests of Northern Lights Say . . . .

Hi, Marie!

Just wanted to take a minute to let you know that we really enjoyed our stay in Ely. We stopped briefly in St. Paul for dinner on our way back to the airport. Our flight home was on-time and pleasant. We got home to warmer temperatures and even my daffodils are several inches above the ground! I spent this week in Phoenix, which meant a 100 degree temperature swing from last week in Ely!!!

I'll send a few pics as soon as I can get caught up. Thanks again!

We just want to tell you what a great time we had in Ely this time! Your suites are beautiful. We could not have asked for a nicer place to stay. It was a very quiet and relaxing trip for us. Thanks again for the great getaway!

Just to let you know that the Rogers family had a wonderful time this past weekend. We will definitely be back sometime. Hopefully, we can share a cabin the next time. We all had great fun dog sledding, and plan to do it again, maybe a day trip for Don, Jen, and myself, and a two hour dog sled experience for Mike, and Mindy. This will have to happen when baby Jack is a bit older.

Hi Maire- Well here it is the end of the summer season already! I can't believe that it's back to school for us after next week. Well, before we go back, we sat down to look at our vacation photos and were talking about what a good time we had up in Ely : ) I will send a few photos in a seperate email through Kodak- it should be easier to view. We just wanted to thank you again for all of the fun and the nice cabin we had to stay in. We really appreciated all of your hospitality and the little extras that made for such a great week!

Good morning...well, not such a good morning because I am back at work. We once again enjoyed our stay with Northern Lights. It is wonderful to think about the memories that we are creating for our boys, and for our family in general.

I stopped at my parents house after unpacking this past Saturday and was telling my mom how wonderful of a time we had. A conversation about how we came to find and eventually ended up staying with Northern Lights came up. My answer was precise from the beginning. I told my mom that I had spoken to you one evening several years ago. I told her that I immediately became comfortable with you, and trusted your words about how the lodge was. I am confident that your hospitality and obvious good nature was the reason for giving Northern Lights a try. I am big on character, and the belief that I know what I feel is genuine and true.

We had a great time. I hope you are proud of the lodge that you run. Feel good in knowing that people are recognizing your hard work and dedication.

Our family had been staying at Jackpine Resort for years and we were disappointed when it closed. We spent a week with you in June and stayed in cabin #4. We loved it! Northern Lights feels has become our new Ely home. The resort was peaceful and CLEAN, the cabin was CLEAN and they are all well spaced from each other for extra privacy. By the end of the week we had a pretty good feel for the lake and we even caught a few nice walleye. See you next year!

Thank you for the cozy, comfortable stay in Cabin #5. My husband and I enjoyed the beautiful lake and quiet time together with no phone. We did not fish, but enjoyed our afternoon on the lake and explore Bear Island. The fall colors were just gorgeous! After looking at the pictures when we got home, our almost grown kids want to join us on the next trip. Until then, thank you for your hospitality.

I know you must have a ton of wonderful emails from folks that stay with you, but last week was a WONDERFUL, memory making week for our family! With all you have to deal with on a daily basis, we just want to Thank YOU! for your efforts to make our week enjoyable! The movie/popcorn night; smores and northern lights; arrow painting; canoes, etc. etc. We appreciate your efforts to keep your resort smoke free, clean and pet friendly! The kids (and I'm SURE Newton!) whined all the way home yesterday about not wanting to leave and asking how soon we could go back. I'm so glad they had such a wonderful time!! I have been telling everyone today what a GREAT week we had "at the cabin". We can't wait to get our photos back so we can"re-live" our week!!

A great big thank you again for our wonderful stay at your resort. And yet another big THANK YOU for going the extra mile to send us the Ely newspaper. What a pleasant surprise it was to get that in the mail today and what an even bigger surprise to see our picture inside. As if our stay in Ely wasn't good enough, seeing our picture in the local paper was like the icing on the cake. I can't tell you enough how much we enjoyed our stay. Your resort is so family friendly, and we highly recommend it to any family we talk to considering a vacation in the Ely area. The kids are still talking about how much fun they had at the playground, swimming at the beach and taking the pontoon boat out on the lake for the day. And yes, Reid (the baby) continues to call almost every dog he sees "Daisy". Although we are planning a vacation in the Black Hills next summer, we can't wait to return to your resort again when we visit the Ely area again.
